We thank you for your hospitality during our visits to your lodge, for taking time, answering questions and letting us taste your wines.
As I told Edmundo I will write about our visits on my blogs and there will also be a newsletter sent out later from FTLOP - For The Love Of Port, the biggest Madeira- and Port forum on internet.

Finally, but not least, there was a mid page wine article on 4 pages in Sweden's second largest newspaper (around 500,000 readers every day) this Sunday. In the article Swedish wine blogs were mentioned and mine was pictured showing the article about Artur de Barros e Sousa, and the picture from the courtyard!
So, I hope you in some way might benefit from my articles and that quite a lot of people has read it will be positive for you. Because that you are worth with such hospitality and good wines!

As a true fan of your wines I would feel honoured if you would be able to meet me during my stay at Madeira in February-March.
My name is Niklas Jörgensen and me and my family travels from Stockholm on the 23rd of February for a 5-weeks stay at your island. During my stay I would love to gather as much information as possible about Artur de Barros e Sousa – not only for my own sake but also for my web site, Mad about Madeira, the only site in Sweden solely concentrating on the wines from the island. Furthermore I have interest from a nationwide wine site in Sweden to publish some news letter on Madeira wine, so a visit, meeting you, maybe the wine maker if possible, some pictures, discussions/interview, samples and so would most surely be highly appreciated.
With a background as a sommelier and previously working in the wine business for more than a decade I have a true passion for wine and Madeira is at the top. Today I work as manager in the domain business for .eu but also run 4 wine sites in Sweden where 2 of them is on Portugal, one for the main land and the one I mentioned above.

Dear Sirs,
I am coming from Finland with a group of relatives and friends to have my 50 years anniversary in Madeira 12.-19.10.09.
We would be very honoured if we could visit ABSL company and would be especially happy, if also a visit to some vineyard could be arranged in some day, preferably any day 15-18.10.
I know that the Madeira wine festivals are in September and wine harvesting season is mostly over in October. If any of the higher growing varieties are still unpicked we would be interested in seeing the harvesting and possibly pressing of the grapes.
I have some wines growing in my yard and in the last years we have had a wine stomping party in autumn, therefore the interest in seeing how these things are done in Madeira.

Visitei as vossas instalaçőes em Maio de 2006, fui muito bem recebido por um dos irmăos que não sei o nome que me mostrou a instalações e me deu a provar as diversas variedades que produzem.
Comprei duas garrafas ( Boal e Sercial ) e mais tarde pedi para me trazerem Terrantez que descansam agora na minha garrafeira para poder disfrutar um dia destes.
Só tenho um comentário a fazer a vossa originalidade está na maneira vetusta e tradicional em que se encontram as vossas instalações mas uma pequena remodelação não fazia mal nenhum apenas um pormenor ou outro e já agora um letreiro à porta pois passei várias vezes na rua e não os encontrei pois só entrando é que se dá conta que são vocês.

I have been writing an account of our holiday in Madeira (January 10-31 2009)and decided to check on your website. we were thrilled to see the photograph of the entrance (which we forgot to take) and then your photo on the message page.
I don't know if you will remember us - we came to visit you on Thursday afternoon January 29th and you made us very welcome, chatting to us for 1/2 hour about Madeira and her wine, Portugal, Wales etc.
We have remembered to keep the wine upright as you advised and will be having our first taste on April 22nd when John celebrates his 65th birthday.
We have the cotton seeds safe and will plant them when the weather gets a little warmer.
Incidentally, I returned to your premises later that afternoon to check if I had left my mobile phone there and spoke to your brother. Happily I found it at the restaurant where we had eaten at midday.
Thank you for helping to make our stay in Madeira so enjoyable.
We wish you well for the future, both in the business and your health.
